Instant Pair FAQ

Why isn’t my OMEN Max 16 recognizing my Pulsefire Saga Pro/Haste 2 Pro?

Alternatively, you may download and install the firmware manually from the files linked below. An internet connection is required for downloads.

Will my other HyperX devices work with Instant Pair?

Alt: ONLY Instant Pair compatible products listed in the article above will work with select OMEN laptops. You can still use non-Instant Pair devices with OMEN laptops; however, you will need to connect via 2.4GHz dongle, Bluetooth, or a wired connection.

How can I spot an Instant Pair device?

As we introduce more compatible products, keep an eye out for the Instant Pair logo on product listings. (include logo icon) Instant-Pair-Black-2x.png

How many devices can I connect at once?

You can connect up to three devices simultaneously, with one of each device type at a time.

I have updated my mouse’s firmware, but it is still not connecting.

If your Pulsefire Haste 2 Pro or Pulsefire Saga Pro is still not connecting, you may need to switch the device from dongle mode to Instant Pair mode. Follow these simple instructions to switch your mouse pairing mode:

To switch your mouse to Instant Pair mode:

  • Move the mouse power switch to “OFF”.
  • Hold the “Back Button” on the mouse.
  • While holding the Back Button, move the power switch to “2.4G”.
  • The mouse will blink Orange four (4) times when successfully connected to the compatible system via Instant Pair.

To switch your mouse to Dongle mode:

  • Move the mouse power switch to “OFF”.
  • Hold the “Forward Button” on the mouse.
  • While holding the Forward Button, move the power switch to “2.4G”.
  • The mouse will blink White four (4) times when successfully connected to the compatible system via 2.4gHz dongle.
Can I connect two mice simultaneously?

No. Instant Pair will only recognize one device per type. For example, both Pulsefire Haste 2 Pro and Pulsefire Saga Pro are Instant Pair enabled, but only one device will be able to connect at a time.

Does Instant Pair connectivity affect device performance?

Connecting an Instant Pair device to your OMEN Max 16 or other compatible OMEN laptop will have no more system impact than connecting a standard 2.4GHz wireless mouse via a dongle. Connecting multiple instant pair devices simultaneously will affect specific device performance.
